Ashling McCannon is a movement and sound artist and an MA Sound Arts practitioner at LCC, UAL. Her work brings dance, whole-body movement, improvisation and experimental sound into the same space, using the body and everyday objects to create a wide range of sounds. A shift in posture, a movement across the floor or contact with an object can become part of the performance. For Listen Closer, McCannon contributes a short performance film exploring how sound is created through the body and movement.
